Parents, in a recent fixture we were only able to field 10 players.
To enable us to continue we really must boost numbers to our squad.
Can all parents please use their school/club/friends contacts to help us try and increase numbers?
Ideally the players coming in will be able to improve our team, so better calibre players please.
We have FA qualified coaches, superb pitches now at the army barracks - and a great bunch of players. So lets work together to help increase numbers with skilled additions.
Any questions at all please contact, Kevin, Stephen, Mike or Paul

Dads Tournament 2011!
TTFC are organising a dads tournament on 31st December. Please see info below.
We need at least 7 dads, so can you let me know asap if your available so i can put our team forward.
cheers
Michael
Hi all,
On the morning and early afternoon of Saturday 31st December, we will be running a 5-a-side tournament for parents, coaches and others involved with the club. The venue hasn't yet been confirmed (either Chetwynd Barracks, Chilwell Olympia or Long Eaton School).
This is a great opportunity to raise some funds for TTFC and for a few of the kids to get on the backs of their Dad's and coaches. There will of course be a cost for each team and a prize for the winners.
I really need help from you, the managers, to ensure this goes ahead. Please can you all send texts out to the parents/guardians and coaches for your squad to put a team together. I understand that for some of the 7-a-side teams it may be difficult to put 5 or 6 players together but we can combine players for each age group if needed.
I'd really like to find out if there's an interest for this but it is the managers that have access to the parents.
Can you let me know if you can round up a squad to represent your team?
Thanks

Player Ratings for Attenborough Match
Each week I’ll try to write a brief player ratings report . First up I like to thank Michelle for the hard admin work to get all the car details submitted – getting the away team details is a pain but worth it to play on such a great pitch. THREE new players have asked to sign for us so looking better for numbers but keep recruiting players please.
JARED (Manager’s Award)
Rock solid in goal as always. No handling errors and some fantastic saves. Especially impressive as you overcame your nerves before the game. Goalkeeper is always a busy position in our team and we’re lucky to have you!
FRED
Looked good at right back and listened to coaches well. You’re a solid tackler with good pace. Remember that right back can press forward to help the midfield as along as you can get back for defensive duties. This week’s SMILE RATING 2 out 10!
JONATHAN
Impressed at left back. Joined the midfielders when we were attacking and made some great tackles. Played well upfront. We’ll keep swapping you around but I honestly think you are a great left back.
CAMERON
Calm and collected in defense and midfield. Very good distribution of the ball and your positioning in defence is superb. Well done.
DANIEL
Great positioning and some excellent clearances. Make sure you use your strength to disturb the opposition attackers.
OLLIE
Excellent game. Some incredible runs up field. We need to pass the ball to you more so you can run down the wings. FROWN RATING 6 out of 10. Much better frowning this week especially when I told you to play in defense in the second half.
ADAM
Our Captain was busy and skilful in midfield and defence. Good tackles and passes throughout the game.
HARRY S (MAN OF THE MATCH)
It’s rare that I praise my own son but your work rate was superb today. I lost count of the interceptions and solid tackles. Very strong in difficult circumstances. Some skilful runs but try to distribute the ball to our wide men earlier as they will have more space to run at the opposition.
WILLIAM
Great debut especially in the second half where you were very skilful. Excellent passes to Ollie on the overlap. Great energy levels. Will be a key player for us this season.
HARRY HILL
Normally our star player but made no useful contribution throughout this match…. Hang on just been reminded that he was away til next week.
AHMED
Showed great skill throughout the game. Scored an offside goal (it was miles offside!) and retained possession very well.
MATT
Great performance. In the first half you contested for the ball upfront and used it well when you won it. In the second half you were a superb left back.
HARRY W
Great determination on debut. Got stuck into the opposition. Need to practice your striking of the ball. Hit the ball harder even for short passes.

Tuesday 12th and Tuesday 19th July at 6.00pm Manor Park.
Training will recommence mid August, keep an eye on the blog for dates….
We would like players to practice, practice practice over the summer, so we are ready for the move up to 11 a side….so come on parents - out in the back garden with a ball!!!
To encourage summer practicing! ......We are setting players a challenge:-
To-do 10 or more keepy uppy’s for when training starts again in August……Players will have 3 goes todo 10 or more, if they can do this they will win a bar of Cadbury’s. The player doing the most will receive a large bar of Cadbury’s!
So get practicing!

Match Report 11-a-side versus Orange Squad
An encouraging start to 11-a-side football. We gave Orange Squad a good game and scored a superb goal. Here's my player ratings:
JARED: Superb game. A few incredible saves and good distribution from the kicks. Try to be a bit more frightening when they run into the box one-on-one. Come out and glare at them.
DAN: Looked comfortable at right back. Excellent clearances. Plenty of sprint training over the Summer to get your speed up.
TOBY: Great positioning throughout the game. Some crunching tackles and good distribution of the ball.
BEN: MAN-OF-THE-MATCH: A brilliant performance in defence and then did even better in midfield. Cut out many of their attacks and created our goal with the trademark run and pass.
FRED: Listened to instructions and looked good at left back. Excellent tackler. Needs to smile more!
OLLIE: Fast running caused the opposition problems down both wings. Well taken goal. Need to smile less!
HARRY S: Enjoyed the extra space and played some great balls. Impressive energy in the first game. 11-a-side is going to suit your style of play.
WILL: Another very promising performance. Confident on the ball and energetic. Fully committed to every tackle.
ADAM: Same every week - great tackling and great attitude. Work on your leg strength over the summer so you can distribute the ball with longer passes.
HARRY HILL: Covered a lot of ground up front and linked up with the midfield to help us keep the ball. Busy performance in midfield when asked to drop back.
HARRY W: Great debut for Black Squad. Very energetic and made some key tackles.
JONATHAN: Excellent ball retention when upfront. Some simple layoffs kept the ball and allowed the team to build up attacks. We'll need you at left back and left wing during next season. Bring back your slide tackle - its used to be like Stuart Pearce (ask you Dad who he was).
See you at training
